The Statesboro community gathered downtown for an evening of music and fun.

The city of Statesboro presented the 2nd annual downtown live Thursday night, there were games, food trucks, and live music. Family and friends danced and were excited for this event.

“I mostly be having my grandkids and I’ve been missing it, so today I wanted to make sure I come because I heard it was the last time… I’m not sure but I wanted to come enjoy myself,” said Dashannon Baker

Live music was presented by the fantasy band known as “the Carolina’s most entertaining party band,” this six member band has been entertaining audiences with a blend of beach music, motown, funk, soul, and R&B for 20 years.

Let’s not forget about the food, local vendors such as big dog snow cones came to this event ready for customers, they said they enjoyed being able to, “support the food vendors, hear some live music and have fun.”

Whether you were here for the music, the food, or just to enjoy the lively atmosphere downtown Statesboro had something special for everyone Thursday evening.
