The Student Org Fair is an event held by the Office of Student Activities that gathers students at the Rotunda to get them more involved on campus.
With over 200 student organizations, this fair allows for students to set up booths and enjoy talking to others about their common interests.
“It’s a great opportunity to just feel involved, get connected on campus, make Georgia Southern your home because you’ll find a group of students that have many things in common with you,” said OSA Student Engagement Coordinator Coleman Bailey.
Club sports, sororities and fraternities, and industry-based organizations are all prevalent aspects of the Student Org Fair..
“I definitely think it’s important because I know a lot of people do want the hands-on experience with their engineering degrees, and I definitely do think that nondestructive testing allows for that,” said ASNT member Viktor Helgason.
Lots of students came out to try to build connections and relationships with these organizations. Many of them seemed to be interested in Greek life and philanthropy.
“I think philanthropy is so important for sororities because it helps bring an impact and an awareness on campus for other students who we can help them realize that they can make such a big impact in huge organizations that are all over the country,” said Chi Omega member Rayne Deese.
This semester’s Student Org Fair truly brought together many students who are looking for people that share the same interest as them.
