SAVANNAH–From professionals to locals, Gypsy Beauty Supply aims to fulfill hair care needs within its surrounding community. 

“We supply stuff for barbers, cosmetologists, along with consumers,” said Nygeria Grimes Saussy, owner of the store.

Gypsy Beauty Supply offers a variety of products, particularly those created for African-American hair textures. 

From wigs, to hair creams and synthetic hair of many colors, the store’s inventory covers many hair maintenance areas.

Located within the Seventeen Oaks plaza on Ogeechee Road, the store has the opportunity to take advantage of busy traffic.

“I saw a need in the area, so I provided it for our locals. So they don’t have to travel 10 miles in each direction just to get what they need,” said Saussy.

Saussy has also tackled many challenges regarding the business since its opening two years ago.

“The biggest challenge you know, is making sure people know we’re here, along with inventory and cash flow. You got to be on top of that,” she said.

The store offers a variety of shopping options including delivery, store pickup and curbside. Saussy plans to expand and gain two more branches. She also seeks to offer positions to students in the near future.
