From resources that empower families to opportunities that support local businesses, the Stronger Together Resource Fair brings it all together. Local workforce development programs are offering everything from job training to career counseling.
“It is a great opportunity for families to come out and learn about the community resources. It’s also a great opportunity for the vendors to network with each other,” said Bulloch County Alliance member Catherine Hendrix.
This event featured refreshments, a book fair bus, over 20 vendors, the radio station and more. Dozens of organizations and local businesses were at the fair offering free services, information and support.
“We really want to get the information out to the families. If families aren’t aware of these resources, they can’t take advantage of them. We really want to strengthen and support them,” said Positive Child Alliance member Lora Cooper.
“Today is resource day. I mean it is an awesome awesome event. We have a lot of booths where you can come. A lot of kids can come out and play. There a lot of things you can take and have a lot of knowledge about. So come out and have fun with us” said student resource officer Kaitlin Brewton.
