On Saturday, our Eagles kicked off the football season to a win against the Citadel Bulldogs.
Georgia Southern football fans got everything they paid for after a well earned 34-0 victory.
The Eagles offense put up 473 total yards, with 273 running yards and 200 in the air.
And in his GS debut, quarterback Davis Brin threw two touchdowns, throwing for over 200 yards. On the other hand, the Eagles defense held Citadel to only 212 yards.
After such a big win, Eagles fans went home smiling with a few thoughts on this weekend’s game.
“It was a good start of the year, defense definitely looks better than it was a year ago so that should make it fun offense scored points and so I think we’re gonna continue to score points. We did last year, I think we’ll do it this year said Georgia Southern Alumnus, Gabe Thomas.
“Look forward to next week we got 4 NFL quarterbacks coming in as head coach so it’d be fun to see what we’ll do against UAB. I think we’ll win, I think we’ll put up some points again and hopefully if the defense improves it’ll be a good game.”
Eagles football takes on the UAB Blazers in their next game, we’ll see if their foot stays on the gas.
