The SHE Women’s Expo brought together an impressive lineup of community-based health organizations, medical professionals and experts in fitness, beauty, and wellness. An engaging day of informative presentations, workshops and discussion were provided to participants.
“I am the owner of Sunny Sue soaps, I make goat milk soap and lotion, I have 41 goats and I live in Kyle, Georgia and so I make all my soaps and lotion from their milk,” said Sandra Walsh, owner of Sunny Sue Soaps.
There were 54 organizations for the community to get information from. Each played a key role offering resources and support for women’s health and personal development. This event was sponsored by 6 organizers, one being the East Georgia Medical Center.
“I’ve been here, I mean this is my second year coming, they’ve always welcomed us with open arms, they are just amazing people,” said Kennisha Washington, representing East Georgia Medical Center. It has been really nice educating them on things our community has to offer.”.
This is the 6th annual SHE Women’s Expo held here in Statesboro and this event had something for everyone. These organizations provided women with invaluable information and services designed to empower and uplift.
