Troy’s dominant second-half performance helped them to defeat Georgia Southern 28-20 on Saturday. After trailing 10-7 at halftime, the Trojans scored on their first three drives of the second half to take control.
Georgia Southern answered with a 3-yard touchdown run from OJ Arnold, but Troy regained the lead and sealed the win with a 16-play, 75-yard drive capped by a 1-yard touchdown from Matthew Caldwell.
Troy controlled the game, converting 11 of 14 third downs and outgaining the Eagles 441-246.
Georgia Southern (6-4, 4-2) will next visit Coastal Carolina on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
