The Masquers, Armstrong’s student theater troupe, is putting on two productions in April.
Their main stage production, Ride the Cyclone, “follows six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir [who] meet an unexpected end in a roller coaster accident. Upon awakening in limbo, they encounter the Amazing Karnak, a mechanical fortune teller who invites them to participate in a high-stakes game of life and death,” according to the show page.
Dramarama is “a volunteer to do a ten minute, one act play festival where we take in new people to work with our new, fresh directors who would like to try and figure out and see what they can do,” Ron Saypack, president of the Masquers, said.
Cold read auditions for this production are open to the public, according to Saypack. Auditions will take place on Feb. 27 in Jenkins Hall. It will be performed on April 24 at 7 pm.
Ride the Cyclone will be performed in the Fine Arts hall on April 3-5 at various times.
All shows are free for students, faculty and staff.
