STATESBORO — Sections of Forest Drive will remain closed through the weekend because of a broken water main due to construction issues at the CEAR building project, according to an email from Georgia Southern communications and marketing.

GS is still urging students to use caution when approaching the intersection.

Parts of Forest Drive still remain closed due to road damage.

“We are working to repair the damage to the road that occurred due to the issues with the water main,” the email reads.

Traffic will continue to be rerouted at the College of Education and Nursing/Chemistry Buildings.

GS anticipates that the damaged sections of Forest Drive will be repaired and reopened by Monday morning.
