Interpretative dancing, singing, and a swimming pool are some highlights the newest play Metamorphoses hosted by the Georgia Southern’s Theatre and Performance program.

Metamorphoses is written by Mary Zimmerman and directed by Lisa L. Abbott.

The play provides a modern take on the classic Ovid poem; and delves into the lives of mythologic characters such as Midas, Ceres and Narcissus.

The play connects different myths to formulate one story that focuses on the different forms of love. It moves through the love of your family to the love of oneself.

Tonight is the last night to see the play.

Metamorphoses starts at 7:30 at the Center for Art and Theatre in the Black Box Theatre.

The play is $5.35 for students with their Eagle ID and $10 for non-students.
