Coming off a loss on the road the Eagles are looking to bounce back as they play at home for the first time since January.

The Georgia Southern men’s basketball team will be taking on the South Alabama Jaguars Wednesday. The last time the two teams faced off the Eagles took USA to overtime and took the win 88-86.

Since then the Eagles have improved on and off the ball as the team averages a field goal percentage of 50.1, putting up around 84 points a game.

Redshirt-sophomore guard Quan Jackson has been one Eagle who’s stepped up this season as he’s shooting 46.4 percent from the floor and averaging 16.2 points per game.

The Jaguars currently sit at an overall record of 12-12 while holding a conference record of 5-6 while averaging 73.8 points per game. It looks hopeful for Eagles though as USA shows a poor on the road record of 1-7.

One Jaguar GS needs to be on the lookout for is team-leader Josh Ajayl who is shooting 55.9 percent from the floor while averaging 16 points per game.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at Hanner Fieldhouse on Wednesday and the match will be streamed on ESPN+
