The Dean of the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health will be retiring from his position on June 30.

Greg Evans, Ph.D., has worked in higher education for 50 years for various programs and universities. In April 2012 Evans was appointed to the position of dean at Georgia Southern University and has worked in the position for the past seven years.

“I am retiring from academia and moving to New York state to be close to family,” Evans said.

At this time it is uncertain who will be taking the position after Evans leaves in June, but more information will be provided when it becomes available.
