COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at Armstrong Center on May 14
Students Do Not Need an Appointment to Get Vaccinated
May 11, 2021
Armstrong students can receive the Moderna vaccine on Friday, May 14 without an appointment at the Armstrong Center. SouthCoast Health and other community partners will host the Southside COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic.
The Moderna vaccine is approved under emergency use authorization (EUA) for individuals 18 years and older. Currently, all residents of Georgia over the age of 16 can get vaccinated.
Students who receive their first dose of the vaccine at that clinic will have their appointment for the second dose scheduled on-site. Individuals who receive their first dose on May 14 will need their second dose by Jun. 11 at the earliest.
If students need help finding a location to schedule their vaccination, they can:
- Use VaccineFinder.org to find vaccination providers near them.
- Check your local pharmacy’s website to see if vaccination appointments are available.
- Find out which pharmacies are participating in the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program.
- Contact the Georgia Department of Public Health to find vaccination locations in their area.
