The door to the Armstrong Health Center

Now is the time to get your seasonal flu vaccine. Students can get vaccinated at Armstrong Health Services located at Student Affairs Annex, Compass Point, 7000 Building, Suite 7105 below the main housing office. Armstrong Health services is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed for lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The CDC recommends that nearly everyone over the age of six months get their annual flu vaccine to prevent illness, hospitalization, doctor’s visits and death.

Certain people should not get the flu vaccine or should get a specific flu vaccine based on their medical history. To learn more about who should not get vaccinated, read Who Should and Who Should NOT Get a Flu Vaccine and talk to your healthcare provider about your flu vaccine options.

The CDC says “September and October are generally good times to be vaccinated against flu. Ideally, everyone should be vaccinated by the end of October.”

If students have questions about the flu vaccine or how to get one on campus, they can call Health Services at 912-961-5726.
