Tybee Post Theater will be hosting a two-night event titled “Colors of Tybee: Films that Celebrate Diversity” and will be screening Spike Lee’s “Do the Right Thing” on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021 and “Get on Up” starring Chadwick Boseman as James Brown on Thursday Nov. 11, 2021.

Armstrong student Corta’nasha Mutcherson organized and promoted the event through her ongoing internship with the Tybee Post Theater.

Students who present their Student ID will receive a discount, and be admitted for $5 rather than the adult price of $9. They also have an opportunity to receive free popcorn by dressing up in the style of the decade each film is set in. Dress in 90s garb for “Do the Right Thing” and 70s for “Get on Up” and be duly rewarded.
