The Statesboro Police Department’s temporary office building is open and operational on Georgia Southern University’s campus as of March.

“With school starting back this week, we would like to make sure students are aware that [the building] is available to them should they need city police services,” Madison Warren, community information specialist for Statesboro PD, said in an email.

The building, located near Paulson Stadium, will be open until the department relocates to 1800 Chandler Road where the current Property Mart office now stands. An exact relocation date has not yet been set.

Warren said the station is available for anyone who needs to make a report, speak with an officer, pick up a completed report or any other police services.

“We’d like to let our student community know that we at the Statesboro Police Department are here for you,” Warren said.

Any questions regarding the building’s operation should be directed to Statesboro PD at (912) 764-9911.
