Statesboro Police investigating Midtown Bar and Grill shooting

Statesboro Police Department is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred at Midtown Bar and Grill.

According to a press release from Statesboro PD, officers responded to a call at approximately 12:03 a.m. on May 5 in reference to a call about a fight in which shots were fired.

Two victims were transported to East Georgia Regional Medical Center for treatment. Both are in stable condition at this time.

Detectives have identified Frank Junior Emeka as the primary suspect behind the shooting. Warrants have been obtained for Emeka’s arrest.

Statesboro PD encourages anyone who sees the suspect in public to call 911 immediately and to not try to make contact with him, as he is considered armed and dangerous.

Kelly Butler was arrested on scene for Obstructing or Hindering Law Enforcement.
