Taylor Swift Announces New Album ‘Midnights’

I’m still recovering from ‘All to Well’

For those who missed the VMA’s or have been offline for more than 48 hours, Taylor Swift has released her newest album Midnights. The album will be her first full feature since the release of Folklore in 2020. She announced her new album after winning Video of the Year, for the third time in a row.

13

Swift, whose known for 13 as her lucky number, has once again incorporated it into this upcoming album. 13 years after the Kayne incident, and 13 tracks about 13 sleepless nights scattered thru Swift’s life and here we are. Swift tweeted: “We lie awake in love and in fear, in turmoil and in tears. We stare at walls and drink until they speak back. We twist in our self-made cages and pray that we aren’t — right this minute — about to make some fateful life-altering mistake. This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go search — hoping that just maybe when the clock strikes twelve … we’ll meet ourselves.”

The Release

The album is scheduled to release on October 21, 2022, in what we hope will set the tone for fall.
