Last week, September 28th, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) and Latin Rhythm Dance Group (LRDG) collaborated to host a celebration in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month.

The celebration began with an educational lecture about the history and importance of celebrating the month.

Then, LRDG hosted a dance lesson, teaching participants a popular Latin dance style called Bachata. Some songs that they danced to were Inocente by Romeo Santos, Burbujas de Amor by Juan Luis Guerra, and Corazon Sin Cara by Prince Royce.

SHPE brought an amazing spread of food, originating from different Latin American countries, and had everyone leaving with full tummies!
