Celebrate Together 2022 Recap
The Celebrate Together event took place in the Residential Plaza on the Armstrong campus Thursday, October 20th, from 10 am-2 pm as part of the campus’s Spirit Week.
Booths for several different campus organizations lined the sidewalks. Booths like the GSU UPB booth and the History Department booth challenged passersby to answer trivia questions in exchange for prizes like candy and organization swag.
The World Languages and Cultures booth offered (nonalcoholic) sangria. The Department of Mechanical Engineering booth demonstrated the capabilities of their 3D printer. Each booth also informed visitors of their upcoming organizational events.
Throughout the week, students could vote on Campus Royalty, and winners were announced at the event. Winners were also announced for several organization booth superlatives, such as the Gamers Guild being named Most Informative and the Information Technology Services being named Most Creative for their Hocus Pocus theme.
Side activities included the inflatable sudsy slip-and-slide, an archery course and the dunk tank that several faculty and staff members (including President Marrero) got soaked in.
Some local businesses sold honey, lemonade, baked goods and clothes.
