(Op-Ed) The Gift of Giving
Around 800 tags hang from the 29th annual virtual Holiday Helper Tree this year. Each tag represents an individual’s holiday wish ranging from Kool-Aid packets to tracksuits to gift cards. Any donation from the tree is more than welcome.
Georgia Southern invites eagles to open their heart to over 20 community organizations serving folks who need it most throughout Bulloch and Chatham counties.
The holiday season, sweetened for many by the memory of warmth and community, is a time of giving thanks and sharing blessings. In fact, 30% of donations are given during December alone.
Whether it’s a bell outside Walmart in December or children’s’ learning support in July, community needs do not go away with the holiday spirit. These organizations have both monetary and physical needs 100% of the time.
Give and serve when you can to the organizations that support the causes you believe in no matter the season.
