ACT and SAT Admission Requirements
November 8, 2022
What’s new: The University System of Georgia has temporarily lifted the SAT and ACT requirement this year with a minimum GPA requirement.
“They’ve allowed us this one more year for an opportunity to make sure we’re competitive in the marketplace,” said Dr. Marrero.
- “One that’s not by decision, that’s the university system’s majority decision in terms of what they do and what they allow,” said Dr. Marrero.
- “The plan is if nothing changed, it would come back for spring of 2024,” said Dr. Marrero.
- First-year students applying to Georgia Southern University through the summer 2024 semester can be admitted without an ACT or SAT score, if they have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Students who have a GPA of less than 3.2 should submit official ACT or SAT scores along with their high school transcript to be considered for admission.
