SWAT team was dispatched to the Garden District Wednesday night in reference to an unwanted person in one of the apartments. 

What we know: On January 18, the offender, Dequar Stephenson, was in his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and refused to leave, based on SPD media release.

• For safety precautions, backup was ordered and the SWAT team used gas to lure out Stephenson. 
• When entering the apartment, it was discovered that he was no longer there.

What happened: He was later found at the Cambridge apartments on Lanier Drive and taken into custody without incident and transported to the Bulloch County Jail.  

• There were no reports of anyone being harmed.
