It is that time of the year again at Georgia Southern. It is the time when regular students get to showcase their athletic prowess. 

Spring intramural season is here and it starts at the end of the month. You can sign up for spring intramural sports at recreation.georgiasouthern.edu. Students can pay $10 for one-time team registration, and buy a spring unlimited play package for $20 that will allow them to play as many sports as they want this spring season. Students could also buy an annual unlimited play package for $30.

 The sports offered this season are Basketball, Archery, 4v4 Flag Football, Rocket League, Sand Volleyball, Cornhole, and Apex Legends. 

We were able to catch up with a couple of students to get their thoughts on intramural sports.

“It takes me back to the glory days of high school,” said Abrinn Daniel, a junior at Georgia Southern. “I also love the competition that comes with intramural sports.” Junior Justin Tucker has similar sentiments about intramural sports. “It is a great way for me to hang out with my friends while we compete with others,” Tucker said. 

Intramural Basketball, Outdoor Soccer, Archery, and Rocket League will begin on January 30th. The deadline to register a team has passed for those sports, but students are allowed to join teams at any time during the season.
