Department of English hopes to boost student morale by hosting slogan contest

The newly formed Department of English is accepting student submissions for a slogan contest.

Submit a two to six-word slogan that captures the spirit of writing, reading, linguistics, and poetry for a chance to be featured in the department’s promotional materials.

Following the combination of departments of literature and writing and linguistics, the Department of English hopes to jumpstart and launch the new department by holding a slogan contest, according to Associate Professor, Kendra  R. Parker.

The contest-winning student will also receive a mystery prize at the “Celebrations of Success” in April.

“We want it to feel like our department, but we also want it to feel like their [students] department,” Parker said.

Get creative and submit your slogan to georgiasouthern.edu/EnglishSloganContest by January 31.
