Sports Wrap-up: Georgia Southern closes out road trip with back to back losses to Georgia State and Old Dominion

Georgia Southern lost close road games this past week bringing their record to (12-13, 5-7)
On the road at Georgia State, the Eagles kept it close with a 2 point lead after the first half. The Eagles would lose the lead early into the first half but fight back to within 2 with less than 10 seconds remaining. A pair of free throws by Georgia State would later ice the game with 2 seconds remaining. The Eagles would lose 60-64
- Jalen Finch led all Eagles in scoring with 16 points
- Tyren Moore scored 13 points and had 7 rebounds
- Kaden Archie had 10 points, adding 3 rebounds and 2 assists
- Andrei Savrasov had a season-high 12 rebounds as well as 3 steals
The Georgia Southern Eagles faced Old Dominion in the last game of their road trip. The Eagles jumped to an early 12-point lead with 6 minutes left in the first half. It would prove to be challenging as both teams were tied up at 30 going into the second half. Old Dominion would go on a 10-point scoring run in the second half extending their lead to 9. The Eagles would later come back to within 2 points however, ODU free throws down the stretch would put the game out of reach, the final score being 58-64.
