Two months have passed since the tragic car crash on June 30 that claimed the life of Assistant Director of Student Activities Paul Bradley, Jr. His position at the Armstrong Campus of Georgia Southern University remains vacant, leaving both a professional and personal void.
“I just didn’t want to erase a person, so quickly,” said Memory Littles, Director of Student Activities and longtime friend of Paul. “He was impactful for different faculty and staff members, and that legacy is one of those things that is hard to replicate. And we won’t try to replace him at all.”
Paul Bradley left behind a legacy of over 10 years of commitment to higher education. Moving through the ranks, he ultimately landed as the Assistant Director of Student Activities at the Armstrong Campus.
“He wasn’t committed to copying and pasting the Georgia Southern way,” said Littles. “He really wanted to create a culture for students of Armstrong campus and he did that.”
This year we continue to see his vision for Armstrong’s culture through programming including the fifth annual Faculty and Staff Basketball game, the Southern Slip ‘N Slide on Sept. 8 and the Silent Library, the latter are both new additions he and graduate assistant Coriana Middlebrooks planned prior to his passing.
A commemoration of Paul Bradley’s life and impact is expected to take place on the Armstrong campus later this month hosted by the Office of Student Activities.
