Applications for the the Spring 2018 SGA are now open

Georgia Southern University students can now apply to become the first elected officials of the newly consolidated Student Government Association.

The newly elected SGA president will represent all three of the newly consolidated campuses.

“The SGA strongly encourages students to get involved and become the voice of your peers,” Dean of Students and Student Affairs Campus Leader Andrew Dies said in an email.

If you are interested in joining the SGA, you must meet the following qualifications before filling out the application:

  • Currently a student regularly enrolled and in good standing at Georgia Southern University
  • Not currently on disciplinary probation
  • Enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours for undergraduate students and three credit hours for graduate students
  • Have a 2.50 minimum GPA
  • Must attend at least one of the mandatory candidate’s meetings
  • Must have one semester of SGA experience
