There are many off campus housing options available in Statesboro for students. With leases ending soon, here are some options throughout Statesboro to pick the right housing for you. There are some things to consider when looking for a place to stay.
- Rent price
- Proximity to campus
- Utility prices
- Proximity to food and activities
Every preference is different depending on the person and which you believe to be the most important.
“My sophomore year at The Hamptons, the rent was a lot cheaper, so it was definitely worth it then, but now it has almost doubled, so it’s just gotten too expensive,” said Erica Ratcliff, student.
“If I was working for my rent money, I would not live here (Aspen) as it is way too overpriced for the area. However, Aspen is a great place to live, and my apartment has almost 1500 sq. ft. and has an outdoor area, and very nice and updated amenities that are open 24/7 (pool, study rooms).” said Savannah Johnston, student.
In some apartments, once you sign the lease, you cannot leave or sublease, so looking into all aspects of an apartment before signing is worthwhile in the long run.
