August 16 – Fall Beach Bash
This annual back-to-school event is happening on Tybee Island from 3 pm to 5:30 pm. There will be music, free food, activities and, of course, an entire ocean to swim in! Georgia Southern is offering free transportation to students who need a ride to and from the event. Seats are first come first serve, so register soon!

August 20 – Welcome to the Nest
This event will offer activities, snacks and drinks for new and returning students. Some activities include making your own dorm decorations with supplies provided by the University. It will be held in the Residential Plaza.

August 22 – Student Engagement Suite Open House
This event will give students a chance to learn more about the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, the Office of Leadership and Community Development and the Office of Student Activities. It is a great chance to get involved and ask questions. It will take place in the Student Union in suite 234 at 11:30 am.

August 23 – Armstrong Kayaking Day
Hosted by Campus Recreation and Intramurals, this free event is a great opportunity to view Savannah’s beautiful marsh surrounding Bell’s Landing. You can choose to attend at either 12 pm or 2 pm.

August 29 & 30 – Savannah Browse
Get in the know about local restaurants, businesses, campus life and other resources that Savannah has to offer. The event starts at 11 am and ends at 1 pm.
