Statesboro Vintage Market is the newest vintage clothing market that has taken Statesboro by storm.
The event featured about a dozen vendors inside and outside of the Foxhall, an event venue and part of the West District. Vendors were selling a variety of clothes and other vintage items, with a live DJ playing music. The renovated area of development formerly occupied by two tobacco warehouses, provides a new and fresh space for companies to host future events, like the Vintage Market.
Johnny McFatten, who has been selling vintage clothing since 2020 and the organizer of the event said, “It’s just a market that people can come and sell all their vintage items at”. McFatten explained that the event is mostly catered to clothing, with some vendors selling antiques and others their own vintage clothing brands.
This event was the first of its kind in Statesboro. McFatten was inspired by other markets in the Savannah area, and wanted to make something of his own in Statesboro.
McFatten plans to do future events like these every other month, or every month depending on how people like it.
