Georgia Southern University’s Student Employment Center (SEC) is set to host its Spring 2018 Job Fair on Thursday, January 11, in the Russell Union Ballroom.

The fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the dress attire is business casual. Roughly 30 different departments around campus will be looking for new student employees who are willing to work while concentrating on their studies.

Some managers hire students on the spot and some request follow-up interviews, said Kyla Dickson, SEC Human Sources coordinator, adding that students should be not be discouraged if they are not offered a job.

“The first priority is school, working hard, getting academic success, but at the same time, we provide meaningful work experience for our students,” Dickson said.

Student employees are only allowed to work 25 hours a week, must be enrolled at GS and must currently be taking at least six credit hours.

Students can find additional information about the fair at the Student Employment Center’s webpage or visit the center in person at the Rosenwald Building, located on the first floor in the Human Resources Department.
