Major changes announced to future football schedule

On Thursday, it was announced that Georgia Southern’s future football schedule would have many changes.
Boise State
Georgia Southern will now play the Boise State Broncos twice in the next decade, the games taking place on Sept. 5, 2020 and Aug. 31, 2024. The 2020 game will be hosted at Boise State, while the 2024 matchup will be in Statesboro.
BYU
Brigham Young University out of Utah is doing a similar set of games with Georgia Southern as Boise State is. On Nov. 20, 2021, the Cougars will play Georgia Southern in Paulson Stadium. On Oct. 12, 2024, the Eagles will travel to Provo, Utah for their away matchup.
Houston
The University of Houston has officially agreed to move their series opener from 2021 to 2026. On Sept. 26, 2026, Houston will face GS at home, and the following year on Sept.18, 2027, the Eagles will travel to play in Houston.
Campbell
For their last schedule change, the Eagles have added a home game with Campbell University, which will take place at home at Paulson Stadium on Sept. 12, 2020.
