STATESBORO—Dressing for success is the name of the game for dozens of incoming freshmen. As students tackle their first few days of classes, many are on the mission to dress to impress. From Hot Wheels belts, carefully crafted color combinations and even purposeful layers amidst the Georgia Sun.
“My classes yesterday went really well. I wasn’t dressed for the like, good mood I was in, but today I decided to kind of spice it up,” said Kloe Clemmons, a freshman aerospace engineering major.
Clemmons sourced a majority of her outfit from thrifting, with her top from Zara and her shoes from Walmart.
She focuses on neutral colors such as green and brown that have made a home in her boho-style wardrobe.
Aine Curran took a different route with her week one outfit. Layered on top of a pair of Levi jeans, Curran styled a Brandy Melville dress along with homemade earrings. She topped her outfit off with a sock-and-shoe combo with flats from Nordstrom.
Curran is a freshman majoring in biology with a concentration in pre-veterinary medicine.
