Dice will roll and cards will shuffle Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. in the Russell Union Ballroom as the GS Residence Hall Association welcomes students to its third Casino Night.

Students will be able to play popular casino games such as blackjack, roulette, craps and the slots while chowing down on chicken tenders and wings, pinwheels, and dessert from 4 and 20 Bakers, said Brianna Hayes, RHA vice president of programming.

The games are merely “casino-inspired” and students will use fake money when playing.

Students will be able to exchange their winnings for prizes such as:

· A Keurig coffeemaker

· NBA 2K18 for the PS4

· A GoPro camera

· A Bluetooth speaker

More than 15 prizes will be given away at the event, Hayes said. She added that the RHA is expecting more than 300 people to attend. Students should bring their Eagle ID.

Hayes said she does not think this event will encourage gambling among students, adding that the RHA does not wish to promote the practice, which is illegal in Georgia and most of the United States.
