Current status of water supplies at Statesboro stores in preparation of Hurricane Irma

Update 9/8/2017:

Walmart has brands such as Aquafina, Nestle  Pure Life Water and Sam’s Choice Purified Drinking Water still in stock according to walmart.com

At 10:45 a.m., Bilo had 3- pallets of water in stock priced a four for $10. 

The current status of water supplies of Statesboro’s Food Worlds and Neighborhood Walmart is currently unknown. 

As Category 5 Hurricane Irma approaches the southeast, citizens of Statesboro begin to stock up on essential items. However, the surge of shopping has led to empty shelfs in local grocery stores and a shortage of fuel at gas stations.

The following is an update on the current stock of water at local Statesboro stores:

Walmart

According to walmart.com, the Walmart located on 147 Northside Drive. East has Aquafina Pure Water, 16.9 Oz, 32 Ct packs in stock along with various other brands of water.

The Neighborhood Walmart, located on 349 Brampton Ave, has two pallets of water left in stock with an expected shipment on the way according to Flint Fonclara, assistant manager of Neighborhood Walmart.

Bilo

According the Bulloch Volunteers Organized Active in Disaster (VOAD), Bilo ,located on 325 Northside Drive E., received 14 pallets of water this morning at 7 a.m. and two more pallets at 10:30 a.m. However, the current status of these products are unknown.

Food World

Food World’s 620 Fair Road store received 16 pallets of water this morning and is expecting another shipment of water tomorrow according to Summer Snowden, Food World scan clerk.

The current amount of water in stock at Food World’s Northside location is currently unknown.
