Students had the opportunity to relax between 12:00 and 3:00 p.m. during Rooted at the Rotunda. This event featured pots for students to decorate and a variety of plant seeds to choose from.
“This is something that I came up with, and it’s the first time it’s happened, but there have been other planting related events that have happened,” said Tariana Gray, UPB vice president of special events. “We’ve done events where students can come and grab a miniature succulent and take it home with them, and they were able to paint the pot for that as well,” said Gray.
For students on their way to other classes, the UPB encouraged students to take their pots and seeds to go. Throughout the three-hour event, Gray said nearly 150 students stopped by to paint their pots or take seeds with them.
