The Eagles are set to take on Stetson University in Deland, Fla., on Tuesday evening, hoping to break their losing streak in the Sunshine State.

The Eagles have been on the road for their last three games, the last of which were against Jacksonville University and #22 University of South Florida. The Eagles lost in 0-3 shutouts against both teams. The Eagles will have to bring both their best offense and defense to defeat the SU Hatters.

Stetson University is currently 4-2-6 in their season with their most recent match against Florida Gulf Coast ending in a 0-1 loss in double overtime. The Eagles are currently 4-4 in their season. Their last win was against Presbyterian College in a 5-0 shutout on Sept. 23.

Through these recent losses, goalkeeper Jack Falle has made multiple saves. In the match against USF’s Bulls, Falle made a total of seven saves. This was GSU’s first match against USF’s soccer team since 1999. In the game against JU, Falle blocked five shots on goal out of the fourteen that the Dolphins attempted.

Last year, GSU defeated the Hatters 3-0 in the opener of the Mercer Tournament.

The Eagles’ next home game is against Hartwick on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m.
