Valentine’s Day on Campus

At the end of the monopoly board, students exchanged their tickets for prizes including frisbees, sunglasses, stuffed eagles, and much more!

The Georgia Southern campus celebrated Valentine’s day with “Caring for Community Day” around the rotunda on February 14.

To guide students to each community booth, they laid out a monopoly game for students to follow and collect tickets for a prize at the end.

The puppy club set up their puppy kissing booth to raise money for the southeastern guide dogs. One of the volunteer raisers, Kylen, gets some kisses from her dog, Helios.

The puppy club was also selling cookies, dog treats, and bracelets.

Students signed up to volunteer for various organizations around the community.

Boro Pride set up a table and gave away bags and treats to students who stopped by their table.

Sustain Southern set up a table and let students enter to win a bamboo plant.

Alternative Breaks sold stickers for a fundraiser and talked to students who may be interested.

Kappa girls gave out valentines and candy kisses from a table around the rotunda.

Habitat for Humanity set up a table and informed students of all the ways they can to volunteer to help.

Habitat for Humanity asked students to answer trivia questions and for correct answers, they could pick up a yard stick, bubbles, tape measures, or grippers!

Students dressed up for valentine’s day in pink and red and even received candy and balloons from the event.

Bethany Hospice, out of Claxton, set up a table where students could enter to win a basket of gifts by guessing how many hearts were in the jar.

The county library allowed students to spin the wheel and get a prize in exchange for telling them your favorite book.

Some students even brought their dogs, who were also dressed up for valentine’s day, to match their pink and red color scheme.

The Bulloch County parks department had students guess how many kisses were in their jar at their table.
