April 6, 2014
Thursday, April 2
8:17 a.m.: Criminal Investigations assisted the Statesboro-Bulloch County Crime Suppression Team with a search warrant at Freedom’s Landing.
11:29 a.m.: A motor vehicle accident report was taken for a motor vehicle accident at the Russell Union Rotunda area.
1 p.m.: A motor vehicle accident report was taken for a motor vehicle accident in the PAC/Nessmith-Lane Conference Center.
4:47 p.m.: Officers conducted a welfare check on juveniles sitting in a vehicle in Lot 21. The mother of the juveniles was contacted. No further action was taken at this time.
3:01 a.m.: Officers made contact with two intoxicated subjects in front of the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center. Both subjects were judicially referred.
Friday, April 3
10:52 a.m.: Officers responded to the Russell Union parking lot in reference to a car leaking gas. Environmental Safety responded and the vehicle was towed.
11:40 a.m.: Officers responded to the Zeta Tau Alpha House in reference to an alarm. Officers made contact with an occupant who advised she had accidentally set off the alarm.
11:52 a.m.: An incident report was taken for found property at the Biological Sciences Building.
1 p.m.: An incident report was taken for a theft at Dining Commons. This case was assigned to Criminal Investigations.
2:26 p.m.: Officers responded to the College of Business in reference to a sick person. EMS responded but did not transport.
2:28 p.m.: An incident report was taken for found property at Southern Pines.
3:43 p.m.: An incident report was taken for found property at J.I. Clements Stadium.
5 p.m.: A motor vehicle accident report was taken for a motor vehicle accident – hit and run in Lot 42.
8:07 p.m.: An incident report was taken for a criminal trespass at Southern Pines G-Lot. This case was assigned to Criminal Investigations.
10:52 p.m.: An incident report was taken for an entering auto in G-Lot. This case was assigned to Criminal Investigations.
1:30 a.m.: Officers made contact with an intoxicated subject near the Carruth Building. Taylor Scott Lorden, 20, Statesboro, Ga., was arrested and charged with Possession of Alcohol – Under 21 Years of Age and Public Indecency.
2:35 a.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of GATAs. The driver of the vehicle, Tremayne Kendall Mitchell, 27, Statesboro, Ga., was arrested and charged with Improper Passing and DUI 1stRefusal.
Saturday, April 4
8:26 a.m.: Criminal Investigations open an investigation into a suspicious incident.
11:18 a.m.: A welfare check was conducted on a subject a Southern Pines. The subject of the welfare check was located and received medical assistance.
11:48 a.m.: Officers assisted the Statesboro Police Department with a motor vehicle accident on South Main Street at Parrish Drive.
12:06 p.m.: A motor vehicle accident report was taken for a motor vehicle accident in the Bishop Alumni Center parking lot.
12:24 p.m.: A welfare check was conducted on a subject at Eagle Village. The subject of the welfare check was located and received medical assistance.
1:05 p.m.: An incident report was taken for a criminal trespass in C-Lot. This case was assigned to Criminal Investigations.
2 p.m.: An incident report was taken for a criminal trespass in C-Lot. This case was assigned to Criminal Investigations.
4:44 p.m.: Officers responded to the Dean of Students Officer in reference to an unwanted person. Dean of Students staff met with the unwanted person. An escort was provided to the Dean of Students staff.
8:23 p.m.: An incident report was taken for lost/mislaid property at Centennial Place.
10:49 p.m.: Officers responded to Eagle Village in reference to a fire alarm. The fire alarm was activated by smoke from a subject cooking.
Sunday, April 5
1:20 a.m.: Officers made contact with two subjects in University Plaza involved in an affray. The two subjects arrested were:
John Mitchell Hensley, 21, Statesboro, Ga., was charged with Affray.
Corey Jacob Deloach, 22, Portal, Ga., was charged with Affray.
8:04 a.m.: Officers responded to a burglar alarm at the Auxiliary Services Distribution Center. The burglar alarm was accidentally activated by an employee.
11:30 a.m.: A motor vehicle accident report was taken for a motor vehicle accident in Lot 21.
1:57 p.m.: An incident report was taken for an animal complaint on Chandler Road at Plant Drive. The animal was turned over to the Human Enforcement Officer.
5:20 p.m.: An incident report was taken for found property on Olympic Blvd.
6:24 p.m.: Officers responded to a suspicious person at the Performing Arts Center. Officers were unable to locate the suspicious person. This case was assigned to Criminal Investigations.
6:27 p.m.: Officers assisted the Statesboro Police Department with a welfare check at the Henderson Library. The subject of the welfare check was not located at the Henderson Library. The Statesboro Police advised that the subject of the welfare check had been located at another location and no problems were found.
11:50 p.m.: Officers discovered a sick person in G-Lot. The sick person received medical assistance.
Monday, April 6
12:05 a.m.: Officers responded to an affray in University Plaza:
Brandon Mecal Fields, 24, Ellabell, Ga., was arrested and charged with Affray.
Brian Cody Brewer, 20, Ellabell, Ga., was arrested and charged with Possession of Alcohol – Under 21 Years of Age and Affray.
Johnnie Bernard Wilson, 20, Jesup, Ga., was arrested and charged with Possession of Alcohol – Under 21 Years of Age and Affray.
Winston Lee Watkins, 21, Statesboro, Ga., was arrested and charged with Affray.
A 15-year-old juvenile was also taken into custody.
2:28 a.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop on Forest Drive at Old Register Road. The driver of the vehicle, Tatyanna Samirah Dumas, 19, Statesboro, Ga., was arrested and charged with Failure to Maintain Lane and DUI 1st.
1:48 p.m.: An incident report was taken for lost/mislaid property at Southern Courtyard.
2:34 p.m.: Officers responded to a sick person at Freedom’s Landing. EMS responded and transported the sick person.
1:22 a.m.: An incident report was taken for found property at the College of Education.
1:47 a.m.: An incident report was taken for harassment at Freedom’s Landing. This case was assigned to Criminal Investigations.
2:50 p.m.: Officer responded to Freedom’s Landing in reference to a noise complaint and alcohol violations. Two occupants were judicially referred.
