A season of streak has seen another one as the Georgia Southern University women’s basketball snapped a four game losing streak to Appalachian State University by a score of 68-59.

The Eagles were led by senior guard Mimi Dubose as she scored a team high 15 points after going 3-4 from behind the three-point arc taking possession of first in career three pointers for GSU.

Going into the game Dubose was tied for the career record for three pointers at Georgia Southern with 167 that was set by Svetlana Trjeskal who played for the

Eagles from 1995-1999.

GSU had five players that hit double digits in scoring against the Mountaineers to put them over .500 in the conference for the first time this season.

The Eagles, which have had problems getting off to a fast start early did exactly that, going into the break with a 12 point lead in Boone, NC.

Another key factor in the win was the lack of turnovers that GSU committed as they had a plus three turnover margin against the Mountaineers.

GSU will look to continue the success they have had on the road when they begin the first of a pair of home games that begins Saturday against Samford University at Hanner Fieldhouse.
