The road woes continued for the Georgia Southern University women’s basketball team as they fell to Jacksonville University by a score of 79-58 this afternoon.

The Eagles (1-4) were lead by junior guard Anna Claire Knight as she scored a team-leading 18 points while shooting 7-18 from the field.

Senior forward Danielle Spencer recorded her second double of the year after a 12-point, 17 rebound performance.

GSU was down at half 35-29 after allowing JU to come out on an 8-0 run to start the game.

Turnovers once again affected GSU, as in this game it turned the ball over a total of 27 times.

JU shot 50 percent from the field in the second half led by senior center Madison Scott’s 13 points.

The Eagles are now 0-3 on the road and will look to improve that record as they take on host Florida Atlantic University on Friday in the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament.
