Another defeat was in Georgia Southern University’s future as men’s soccer lost to Radford University by a tally of 2-1.

The Eagles were in route to closing up their five game road trip as they travelled to Asheville, NC.

The Highlanders were able to provide an advantage as they opened up with a game in the third minute when senior midfielder Joe Mayer scored his fourth goal of the year to put the opposition ahead 1-0.

GSU was able to find an equalizer early on in the second half as senior midfielder and preseason all-conference selection Hunter Norton tied the Eagles at one apiece with a diving header.

RU stayed composed and within 20 minutes the Highlanders found a goal to put them over the top for the win as senior Bernardo Ulmo was able to find the back of the net in the 69th minute.

GSU will play against host University of North Carolina-Asheville to close out its road stretch on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
