During a win over the Troy Trojans this past weekend GS sophomore Baylor Bumford set a school high with 15 blocks, topping a 24 year record set by Megan Pfeiffer in a five game match against Charleston Southern in 1995. Her average of 2.43 blocks per set this weekend earned Bumford Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week honors.

GS’ defense is supported by junior Landon Jones, who ranks sixth in the Sun Belt in digs

The Eagle offense is led by sophomore Madison Brown, who sits sixth in the conference assists, and leading scorer Carly Turner, who’s popped 141 kills so far this season.
-
Offensively, UTA is led by sophomore outside hitter Brooke Townsend, who’s tallied 219 kills in 2019
-
Texas State’s attack will be led by stud senior Cheyenne Huskey, a Florida transfer who has, during her time in the Sun Belt, compiled a thorough list of accolades, including 2019 Sun Belt Conference Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, 2019 Preseason All-Sun Belt Team, 2018 AVCA Southwest Region Team, 2018 All-Sun Belt Conference First Team. Huskey currently leads the Bobcats with 221 kills.
