President Dr. Books Keel will host a special commencement ceremony through videoconference for members of the Georgia Southern University football team who will be unable to attend graduation due to Friday’s playoff at North Dakota State Unviersity.

The ceremony will take place at 8:45 p.m. on Thursday in the President’s conference room. There are nine student-athletes and one manager who will participate in the ceremony.

Seniors offensive lineman Blake DeBartola, quarterback Russell DeMasi, wide receiver Markus Farmer, corner back Brandon Lane, defensive tackle Zach Reckers, defensive tackle Brent Russell, offensive lineman John Stevenson, tight end Tyler Sumner, line backer Zach York and manager Nate Baker will all be graduating.

The Eagles will then look to take on NDSU in the semifinal game of the FCS Tournament Friday at 8 p.m.
