With a 3.2 overall team GPA, the Georgia Southern University men’s soccer team was one of six Southern Conference teams recognized on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Awards list for the 2011-2012 academic year.

The Eagles were one of the 221 men’s teams from all levels of college soccer to earn the award. Out of SoCon teams, GSU had one of the best team GPAs in the league.

Wofford College (3.11), Furman University (3.02), Appalachian State University (3.22), Davidson College (3.13), and Elon University (3.13) all joined GSU on the list.
