STATESBORO — Georgia Southern preseason camp will begin Aug. 1. The first practice will take place on Aug. 2 at Eagle Creek.

The Beautiful Eagle Creek baptism tradition continues Friday, Aug. 16 after practice. Following this, the team will assist with Operation Move-In later that day, a campus-wide event preparing students for the upcoming school year.

Meet the Eagles Fan Fest will take place Saturday, Aug. 17 after the team’s second scrimmage at Paulson Stadium. This event gives fans an opportunity to engage with all of the fall sports teams and purchase merchandise, as well as food and fun activities for kids.

For those unable to attend, not to worry, GS football will hold a second fan fest concluding practice at the Armstrong campus on Friday, Aug. 23 at Memorial Stadium in Savannah, Georgia.

In total, three scrimmages open to the public will be held at Paulson Stadium prior to the official start of the season. These dates include Aug. 10 at 8:30 a.m., Aug. 17 at 9:15 a.m. and Aug. 22 at 4:50 p.m. respectively.

GS will travel to Baton Rouge to face LSU for the first game of the season on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 7:30 p.m.
