STATESBORO — The Sun Belt Conference has released the tentative 2019-20 schedule for the men’s basketball team. This will be the first time the league will follow a 20 game conference schedule since the 2015-16 season.

GS will play almost every team in the conference twice, with Little Rock and Arkansas State as the exceptions. The team will open conference play against Texas State on Dec. 19, followed by UTA on Dec. 21. Both games will be played at home.

After the holidays, the team will go on a three game road trip to take on Coastal Carolina, Appalachian State and Arkansas State over a four day span.

Notably, rival and reigning conference champions Georgia State will come to Hanner Fieldhouse on Jan. 25 and GS will return the favor on Feb. 29.

GS will close out the season on March 3 against Arkansas State at home. The schedule is tentative and eligible to change.

Non-conference games have yet to be released, but GS is locked in to play UGA on December 23 in Athens.
