Tyshaun Crawford transfers to Augusta University

STATESBORO — Georgia Southern men’s basketball redshirt sophomore center Tyshaun Crawford will transfer to Augusta University to continue his collegiate basketball career, according to the GS men’s basketball page.
Crawford, measuring in at 7-foot-1, played a total of 27 minutes in the 2018-19 season and was the first seven footer for the Eagles since Emmett Smith in 1991.
He put up a season high 14 points and eight rebounds against Carver College at the beginning of last season, where he also played a season high twelve minutes.
The center made First-Team All Region at Griffin High School in 2016 after averaging ten points and ten rebounds a game.
Augusta University is a Division II school that reached its fifth region championship game this season. The team’s end of season fifteen game winning streak was snapped by Queens University of Charlotte. They finished with a 28-6 record.
