Breast Cancer Awareness month may be coming to an end but the students at Georgia Southern University are still seeking ways to help support and bring awareness to others who struggle with cancer.
“There are children, not just young but our age as well, who have pediatric cancer. It is a great cause for a great hospital. It’s free of charge, no family ever pays which is great,” Jamar Boyd, president of GSU’s St. Jude Up Til Dawn chapter, said.
St. Jude Up Til Dawn is the signature fundraising event for the GSU St. Jude Up Til Dawn organization. The event will take place on November 14 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the RAC. There will be a host of activities ranging from games to Zumba to a fashion show. Though it is no fee for this event, organizers ask that participants fundraise as much a possible leading up to the event.
To register for the event and help fundraise, visit St. Jude’s website or for more information contact the event organizers at gasuuptildawn@gmail.com or on Twitter at Up Til Dawn GSU.
